Each year, on the anniversary of that fateful voyage, Pirates, Privateers and Treasure Hunters of all ages gather to commemorate the loss of the 1715 Treasure Fleet in a family friendly celebration of piracy, better known as the Vero Beach Pirate Festival.

This fun and exciting festival was designed to bring the community together over the historical significance regarding the loss of the 1715 Treasure Fleet, and to celebrate the reason why this area is now called The Treasure Coast.
Enjoy the Shade of Three Hundred Year Old Trees
Held under the cool shade canopy of 300 year old oak trees that stood on this site back in 1715; the inaugural Vero Beach Pirate Fest will be comprised of historical and living history reenactments, various themed and supporting vendors, interactive games, costume contests and activities, treasure hunts, live music, mermaids and entertainment for all ages. It will also showcase exhibits of art, authentic weaponry, artifacts and treasure displays by world famous treasure hunters, artists and authors in a 3-day, family-friendly environment for all ages.
Beneath these mighty oaks, you can browse the works and wares of some of the finest pirate themed and maritime artists from across the region, as well as that of period correct merchants, nautical, tropical and retail vendors in addition to a great selection of food and beverage.
From delicious Seafood to cool refreshing tasty treats, there is something for everyone at the Vero Beach Pirate Fest.
